Simon Barrad will sing the baritone solos in Ernst Bloch’s masterwork Sacred Service with chorus and orchestra bringing the Jewish Sabbath Service to the concert stage.

These textual themes extend beyond the boundaries of any one religion or culture, capturing our imagination in assessing our place in the grand design of Life. The Chamber Ensemble will also present Whitacre’s Five Hebrew Love Songs.
