Simon Barrad will join Benedict Sheehan and Cincinnati’s Vocal Arts Ensemble for this program of passionate choral works by Maddalena Casulana, Barbara Strozzi, Laura Hawley and Anna Olson, culminating in the world premiere of Benedict Sheehan’s The Passion of Mary, a new exploration of the Christian Passion narrative from the perspective of Jesus’ mother.
